        4. Qualification Trial

        a. Team The team should be composed by primary or high school (including vocational school) students in eastern area of China with eligible registration by September, 2009.Schools from nearby provinces other than this area, e.g. Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Shandong, will also been invited the trial.

        b. Players The trial is divided into three levels: primary school level, junior high school level and senior high school level. Each team is allowed to have 2-4 players and no more than 2 coaches. Each school is permitted to assign more than 1 team, but same player participate in two different game is prohibited.

        c. games VEX robotics tournament BDS basketball tournament

        d. Awards
        • 15% of all teams will be granted the first place award 35% of all teams will be granted as the second place award 50% of all teams will be granted as the third place award
        • The first 10 teams from 3 level per game will be qualified to join the 3rd annual Asian-Pacific region robotics tournament in Australia, while the excellent winning teams will be able to participate in Vex Worldwide Robotics Championship in US on behalf of Asia –Pacific region.

        The application form and game rules are available on the following website (shown at the last page) Please submit the application (filled out and printed) to designated provincial committee office no later than Sep.10, 2009

        6. Cost and Fees

        During this qualification trial, the committee office will arrange meals and accommodation for all participants. The total cost including meals and accommodation will be announced soon.
